Founded in 1984, Capso Technologies has been at the forefront of developing innovative post-combustion carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) solutions. Based in Canada, we have honed our expertise and built a reputation for excellence in the industry over the decades.

In 2008, our company began a fruitful collaboration with the European Union, participating in numerous projects that have pushed the boundaries of CCUS technology. These partnerships have not only advanced our technological capabilities but also solidified our role as leaders in the field.

Our Process:

At Capso Technologies, we specialize in advanced carbon capture solutions through a streamlined, three-phase process. First, our concentration phase involves capturing pollutants using specialized solvents. We use CapsoS for SO₂ scrubbing and CapsoC for CO₂ scrubbing, ensuring efficient removal of harmful gases. For smaller projects, our modular CapsoMod solution offers a versatile alternative.

Next, in the purification phase, we employ deep dehydration, adsorption, distillation, and liquefaction techniques to refine the captured gases. Our CapsoX sorbent collection and CapsoPure custom process ensure ultra-high purity CO₂, ready for further use or storage.

Finally, our compression phase involves compressing and recycling the purified CO₂. The CapsoRe system effectively regenerates waste CO₂ for applications such as dry ice production. This comprehensive approach not only mitigates environmental impact but also promotes sustainable industrial practices.

CapsoS™ utilizes proprietary technology with a patented solvent for SO₂ and NOx absorption, capturing these gases at ppm levels with over 95% efficiency. It ensures high selectivity without reacting with CO₂, providing an effective dual capture solution.


CapsoC™ features a patented solvent for CO₂ chemical absorption, which doubles the absorption rate and capacity of MEA while tripling those of MDEA. It captures low concentration CO₂ (3-15% purity) with over 90% efficiency, offers high selectivity, and exhibits low degradation, regenerating quickly at 85-96°C.


CapsoX™ uses over 20 specialized patented sorbents for physical adsorption, achieving over 95% CO₂ capture efficiency and increasing purity to over 99.9999%. It operates at low regeneration temperatures, removes impurities at ppb levels, and can be integrated flexibly into other processes.
