What is Dry Ice CO2 Recycling?

Dry ice CO2 recycling refers to the process of recapturing and reusing waste CO2 revert gas that is not converted into dry ice during the production process. This CO2 gas is transformed back into liquid form, ready to be used again. This technology is crucial for improving the efficiency and sustainability of dry ice production.

During the dry ice production process, the production ratio is usually within the proximity of 2.5:1:1.5. This means for every 2.5 tons of LCO2, 1 ton of dry ice and 1.5 tons of revert CO2 gas is produced.

The role of our Dry Ice CO2 Recycler is to collect this wasted revert CO2 gas and reprocess it back into LCO2 for reuse.

After installing the Dry Ice CO2 Recycler, the production ratio changes to 1:2:1:0.2, meaning for every 1.2 tons of LCO2, 1 ton of dry ice and 0.2 tons of revert CO2 gas is produced. This allows us to produce the same amount of dry ice as before but with 55% less LCO2 used, resulting in a reduction in cost.

Automated, Compatible, Modular

Flexible Integration

Our Dry Ice CO2 Recycler is fully automated, runs continuously with minimal maintenance, and efficiently processes revert CO2 gas waste. The system collects CO2 from the dry ice production machine, heats it via a heat exchanger, and stores it in an air bag. The Gas is then compressed, cooled in the heat exchanger, and turned into liquid via the liquefier. After purifying the liquid CO2 of contaminants in a separation tank, it is either stored in a recycled LCO2 tank or directly reused in dry ice production.
