CapsoC™ is a groundbreaking chemical solvent engineered for the efficient recovery of CO2 from industrial flue gas. Designed for optimal performance, CapsoC has record-breaking metrics in absorption capacity, as well as absorption and desorption rates.
CapsoC™ offers an absorption capacity that is, on average, twice that of MEA and three times that of MDEA, meaning significantly less CapsoC™ solvent is required compared to industry-standard solvents for capturing the same amount of CO2 from flue gas.
The absorption rate of CapsoC™ mirrors its impressive absorption capacity, enabling faster CO2 capture. This efficiency allows for the construction of smaller absorption towers, leading to substantial cost savings.
CapsoC™ desorption rate is also approximately twice as fast as MEA, reducing the time needed to release absorbed CO2. This improvement further contributes to the potential for smaller equipment and additional cost reductions. Our solvent also regenerates at a much lower temperature of 83℃-96℃, saving significant cost on energy consumption.
CapsoC™ achieves a CO2 capture efficiency of over 90%, effectively recovering the majority of CO2 from industrial flue gas. It is also capable of capturing CO2 from flue gas with concentrations as low as 15%, making it versatile and suitable for a wide range of industrial facilities.
Our solvent is highly selective for CO2 and does not react with other compounds such as O2. This selectivity is crucial, as reactions with oxygen can lead to solvent degradation, reduced efficiency, increased operational costs, equipment corrosion, and adverse environmental impacts. By preventing these unfavorable reactions, CapsoC™ enhances the overall efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the CO2 capture process
CapsoC™ is designed in accordance with international standards for sustainability and aligns with our ethos of building towards a circular green economy. Our solvent is incredibly stable, with low volatility, and minimal degradation, leading to fewer refills and greater cost savings. Only less than 0.2kg solvent is consumed per ton of CO2 recovered, setting a new benchmark in the carbon capture industry.
